Mountain Lion Hit And Killed By Vehicle On I-88 in DeKalb Co

Dekalb County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A mountain lion is dead after it was hit by a vehicle on I-88 in DeKalb County over the weekend.

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources says the incident happened Sunday and the animal has been delivered to the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana for a full necropsy and DNA analysis.

IDNR experts believe the animal may be the same mountain lion that was captured on a trail camera on private property in Whiteside County last month.
