EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL

- Effingham City Police arrested 20 year old Nicholas T. Hastings of Effingham for possession of <5g of meth and drug paraphernalia, and obstructing justice. Nicholas was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 49 year old Misty D. Rickett of Evansville, IN for an Effingham County original warrant for deceptive practices and an Effingham County FTA warrant for DUI/alcohol/intoxicating compounds/drugs. Misty was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 22 year old Brenden J. Byrum of Jewett for an Effingham County FTA warrant for aggravated battery to a police officer. Brenden posted $375 and was released.
CRASHES
September 26, 2022
- At 9:47 A.M. at the intersection of Ford and Keller a vehicle driven by Glen R. Hutton, 74, Stewardson, turned into the path of and was struck by a semi driven by Gloria J. Allen, 67, Morrilton Conway, AR. No injuries. Hutton was ticketed for Disobeying Traffic Control Device.
