- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 59 year old Roger Kirkman Sr. of Stewardson for an Effingham County attachment for contempt. Roger posted bond and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24 year old Tifiani Lindemann of Newton for an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of <5g of meth. Tifiani was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 43 year old Heather Allen of Vandalia for an Effingham County FTA warrant for retail theft. Heather posted bond and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 31 year old Paije Dulaney of Edgewood for an Effingham County FTA warrant for driving while license suspended. Paije was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 28 year old Steven Godfrey of Christopher, IL for an Effingham County FTA warrant for aggravated domestic battery/strangulation. Steven was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Altamont Police arrested 41 year old Joseph Kraus of Cowden for driving while license revoked and possession of <5g of meth. Joseph was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
CRASHES
September 21, 2022
- At 5:48 A.M. at the intersection of Raney and Stevens a vehicle driven by Matthew D. Beck, 27, Vandalia, turned into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by George D. Burke, 57, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
- At 8:00 A.M. at the intersection of Temple and Mulberry a vehicle driven by Chi Man Lei, 32, Mattoon, lost control and left the roadway, striking and damaging a stop sign, two street signs and one sign post owned by the City of Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
