
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following information comes from the Clay County Sheriff’s Facebook Page:
On May 1, 2022 at approximately 1:48 a.m. the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched by Clay County 911 to a report of a stabbing in Stanford Township. The sheriff’s office learned that there was an altercation that occurred at a party between multiple people. During the altercation a 23-year-old male subject received multiple stab wounds to the body.
The victim was transported from the scene to a nearby residence prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. Upon the arrival of emergency personnel, the victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and then air lifted to a different hospital. The victim is believed to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone that was a witness to the incident that has not been interviewed or if you have further information to contact the sheriff’s office and speak with Deputy Trevin Smith.
