February 19, 2022

• Effingham Police arrested 53 year old Douglas A. Merrill of Altamont for a sentence of 3 years in IDOC for original charge of aggravated DUI. Douglas was taken to the Effingham County jail.
• Effingham Police arrested 35 year old Jared H. Kerr of Vandalia for an Effingham County FTA warrant for aggravated battery to a nurse. Jared posted bond and was released.
• Effingham Police arrested 44 year old Julie R. Ebeling of Watson for an Effingham County original warrant for possession of another’s credit card and possession of meth. Julie was taken to the Effingham County jail.
• Effingham Police arrested 48 year old Shane J. Bohn of Effingham for an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of <5g of meth. Shane was given an NTA and was released.
• Effingham Police arrested 21 year old Jesse L. Kollman of Effingham for problem solving CRT sanction original charge for aggravated battery in a public place. Jesse was taken to the Effingham County jail.
• Effingham Police arrested 31 year old Montana R. Harrington of Effingham for DUI alcohol and driving too fast for conditions. Montana was given an NTA and was released.

February 20, 2022

• Effingham Police arrested 27 year old Henry P. Nguyen for aggravated battery to a correctional officer. Henry was taken to the Effingham County jail.
• Illinois State Police arrested 24 year old Elder Ramirez-Bautista of Santa Maria, CA for cannabis trafficking, possession of >5000g of cannabis, and possession of >5000g of cannabis with intent to deliver. Elder was taken to the Effingham County jail.
• Illinois State Police arrested 29 year old Delia Gonzalez-Salgado of Salem, OR for possession of cannabis >5000g, deliver/possession with intent to deliver cannabis >5000g, cannabis trafficking, possession of <5g of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Delia was taken to the Effingham County jail.
• Illinois State Police arrested Roberto Morales-Moreno of Santa Maria, CA for operating a motor vehicle without a license, possession of <5g of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of >5000g of cannabis, cannabis trafficking, and possession of 5000g of cannabis with intent to deliver. Roberto was taken to the Effingham County jail.
• Effingham Police arrested 43 year old Jerry D. Guthrie of Effingham for a Clay County FTA warrant for driving while license revoked. Jerry was taken to the Clay County jail.
• Effingham Police arrested 32 year old Mindy L. Pinkerton of Effingham for driving while license suspended. Mindy was given an NTA.
• Effingham Police arrested 63 year old Judy M. Brummerstedt of Effingham for resisting/obstructing a police officer with injury, and criminal trespass to real property. Judy was taken to the Effingham County jail.

February 21, 2022

• Effingham Police arrested 49 year old Carmelo Micciancio of Louisville for DUI alcohol and speeding. Carmelo was given an NTA and was released.

CRASHES 

February 15, 2022 

• At 2:10 PM at 912 N. Henrietta an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Alicia M. McLeod, Sigel. No injuries or citations at this time. 

February 18, 2022 

• At 7:05 AM at 110 E. Market a vehicle driven by Jonathan L. Dial, 25,  Louisville, struck a vehicle driven by Richard L. Kenter, 41, Effingham. No  injuries and no citations. 
• At 7:42 AM at the intersection of S. Henrietta and W. Fayette a vehicle driven  by Kevin M. Vogel, 45, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Roger A.  Miller, 59, Effingham. No injuries and no citations. 
• At 4:20 PM at 1200 Thelma Keller a vehicle driven by Keera M. Beccue, 19,  Louisville, struck a pole owned by Wal-Mart. A passenger in the vehicle  sustained injuries but refused medical treatment. No citations.  
• At 6:23 PM 500 feet north of the intersection of the 1400th block of N. Keller  and Ford a vehicle driven by George P. Riddle, 21, Windsor, struck a deer. No  injuries and no citations. 
• At 6:32 PM at 1910 S. Banker a semi driven by Michael D. Womack, 53,  Judsonia, AR, struck a vehicle driven by Kenneth K. Miller, 87, Wheeler. No  injuries and no citations.
