Effingham County Jail

• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 34-year-old Tyler W. Mabrey of Washington, Illinois. Mabrey was arrested on a Effingham County failure to appear warrant for charges of residential burglary. Mabrey is still in custody.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 37-year-old Bettyann M. Conner of Mode, Illinois. Conner was arrested on a mittimus to IDOC and is still in custody.
• Effingham Police Department arrested 18-year-old Justin L.E. Baker of Osceola, Missouri. Baker was arrested on charges of unlawful use/possession of a weapon by a felon. Baker was given a notice to appear and released.
• Effingham Police Department arrested 40-year-old William E. Selfridge of Indianapolis, Indiana. Selfridge was arrested on charges of unlawful use/possession of a weapon by a felon, improper use of registration and driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license. Selfridge was given a notice to appear and released.

October 4, 2021 

• At 5:00 A.M. at the intersection of Banker and Hoffman a vehicle driven by  Matthew T. Hecht, 29, Effingham, struck a bicycle operated by Aaron J.  Doedtman, 45, Watson. Doedtman sustained injuries but refused treatment.  No citations.
