
Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Cromwell News Department recently had Karen Feldkamp from the Effingham County Health Department (ECHD) in studio for an interview to discuss the new Delta variant of COVID-19, and also discuss details about the vaccines. Karen is an emergency preparedness coordinator at ECHD.
Question 1: The Delta variant of COVID-19 was detected in Effingham County. What is the Delta variant, and what makes it more deadly than the regular COVID-19 variant?
Question 2: What advice do you have for the Effingham Community as the Delta variant spreads?
