Effingham County Jail
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 45-year-old Aaron J Doedtman of Watsons. Doedtman was arrested on charges of pessession of a controlled substance and was given a notice to appear and released
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 30-year-old Lucas C. McDaniel of Edgewood. McDaniel was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, aggravated assault of a police officer, resisting arrest and interfering with a domestic violence report. McDaniel is still in custody.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 39-year-old Shauna L. Graham of Herrick. Graham was arrested on a failure to appear on a Effingham County warrant for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver. Graham posted $575 and released.
- Altamont Police Department arrested 46-year-old Keech C. Griffin of Altamont. Griffin was arrested on charges of domestic battery and is still in custody.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 32-year-old Darek A. Mix of Effingham. Mix was arrested on charges of DUI/Alcohol and was released after getting a notice to appear.

- At 7:46 AM at the intersection of S. 4th and Wabash a vehicle driven by Joseph M. Westendorf, 26, Teutopolis, collided with a vehicle driven by Jessica J. Prange, 38, Effingham. Prange sustained injury and was transported to HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital via private vehicle. Westendorf was ticketed for Driving too Fast for Conditions.
- At 8:27 AM at 2945 S. Raney a vehicle driven by Karsyn N. Gouchenouer, 19, Effingham, left the roadway and ended up in a bean field owned by Bernard Hoffman, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
- At 8:30 AM at the intersection of S. Walnut and W. Jefferson a vehicle driven by Robin K. Varady, 64, Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by Megan M. Ricketts, 18, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
- At 4:50 PM at the intersection of N. Keller and Avenue of Mid America a vehicle driven by Christian J. Casey, 21, Bossier City, LA, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Nelda D. Kline, 83, Beecher City. No injuries and no citations.
