Dieterich Announces 4th of July Activities

Dieterich, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The 4th of July festivities kick-off on the 3rd in Dieterich with the Firecracker Walk/Run.

Then the 4th is jampacked with activities starting at noon with food and an all day beer garden.

The parade will also be held in the evening this year. According to Brittny Gipson, who is the Economic Development Coordinator for the Village of Dieterich, “Since nothing is “normal” this year, we decided to try an evening parade at 6 p.m., which is very different from past years.  We are hoping the heat will be less intense and make the parade more enjoyable for everyone, rather than the past years mid-day parade.”

The Firecracker Walk/Run starts at 7:30 AM on July 3rd while the festivities on July 4th start at Noon.
