Effingham County Jail
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 18-year-old Leo B. Cline of Altamont. Cline was arrested on charges of burglary, theft over $500, criminal damage to property, and criminal trespassing of a residence. Cline is still in custody at the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 31-year-old Brandon C. Neville of Effingham. Neville was arrested on a failure to appear warrant in Shelby County for retail theft. Neville was given a notice to appear and released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 35-year-old Justin C. Nelson of Effingham. Nelson was arrested on a Shelby County warrant for assault, disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing of a residence and criminal damage to property. Nelson was transported to Shelby County.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 37-year-old Billy M. Gillespie of Altamont. Gillespie was arrested on charges of domestic battery and is in custody at the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 33-year-old Tiffany N. Gillespie of Effingham. Gillespie was arrested on charges of battery and given a notice to appear and released from the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 20-year-old Bryce A. Ruholl of Teutopolis. Ruholl was arrested on charges of an Effingham County attach for contempt and possession of a controlled substance.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 33-year-old Torie L. Tate of Dieterich. Tate was arrested on charges of domestic battery and is still in custody at the Effingham County Jail.

- At 5:58 P.M. at 1304 W. Evergreen a West Aurora School District bus driven by Nolan J. McCue, 28, Aurora, struck and damaged a Quality Inn sign. No injuries and no citations.
-June 19, 2021
- At 11:06 A.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Raney a vehicle driven by Carole J. Kirby, 79, Effingham, pulled into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Jeffrey S. Pryor, 43, Effingham. Kirby sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment. No citations.
- At 6:22 P.M. at 1707 Ford a vehicle driven by Michael R. Brown, 72, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by John J. Marschewski, 54, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
