- Effingham Police Department arrested 39-year-old Randy A. Otten of Effingham. Otten was arrested on charges of failure to register as a sex offender and failure to report new employment. Otten is still in custody at the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 20-year-old Lukus J. Dillworth of Noble, IL. Dillworth was arrested on charges of failure to appear on a warrant in Lawrence County, IL on charges of criminal damage and an Effingham County Pre-trial release for burglary. Dillworth is still in custody at the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 18-year-old Makyla N. Stombaugh of Brownstown, IL. Stombaugh was arrested on charges of domestic battery and is still in the Effingham County Jail.

June 11, 2021
- At 10:39 A.M. at the intersection of 3rd and Fayette a vehicle driven by Tyler S. Schwing, 27, Charleston, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Kenneth N. Stuckey, 74, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
- At 11:42 A.M. north of the intersection of Keller and Evergreen a vehicle driven by Paul S. Pitts, 63, Tucson, AZ, struck a vehicle driven by Susan A. Durbin, 58, Vandalia. Durbin sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia. Pitts was ticketed for Failure to Yield.
