Mattoon, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The following information comes from the Mattoon Police Department:
Mattoon Police arrested Samuel J. Amaro, age 46 of Mattoon, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine (under 5 grams).
The arrest occurred on Saturday, June 5th at 11:29pm in the 700 block of Broadway Ave. East. The charge alleges that police made contact with Amaro during a separate investigation. During their encounter, Amaro was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Hypodermic Syringes. Amaro was taken to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.

Mattoon Police arrested Tyler A. Lovekamp, age 30 of Mattoon, for the offenses of Possession of Methamphetamine w/ Intent to Deliver (100-400 grams), Domestic Battery, and Resisting a Police Officer.
The arrest occurred on Tuesday, May 25th at 11:46pm in the 2800 block of Moultrie Ave. The charges allege that Lovekamp struck a female subject multiple times with his hands and held an item to her face, while threatening bodily harm/death. During the course of the investigation Officers located and recovered approximately 280 grams of Methamphetamine and US Currency. Lovekamp resisted Officers attempts to take him into custody. Records indicate that Lovekamp is currently on parole through the Illinois Department of Corrections for convictions in Coles County for Deliver of Methamphetamine and Aggravated Domestic Battery. Lovekamp was taken to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.

Mattoon Police arrested Reilly M. Condron, age 26 of Effingham, for the offense of Arson.
The arrest occurred at the Mattoon Police Department on Thursday, June 3rd at 10:15am. The charge alleges that on Monday, May 22nd the Mattoon Fire Department and Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of Wabash Ave. in reference to the vehicle fire. The fire was identified as suspicious in nature and information was gathered that identified Condron as a suspect for starting the fire. Additional evidence was obtained through multiple resources that revealed Condron initiating the vehicle fire. Condron was taken to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.

Mattoon Police arrested Ryan M. Blackwell, age 37 of Mattoon, for the offense of Possession of Child Pornography.
The arrest occurred on Friday, June 4th at 3:27pm in the 2300 block of Prairie Ave. The charge alleges that Blackwell recorded a female juvenile, on multiple occasions in May 2021, while she was unclothed. The recordings were discovered on a cellular phone that was recovered by a family member. Blackwell was taken to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.
