- Illinois State Police arrested 51 year old Trent A. Wilson of Effingham for a Coles County FTA warrant for retail theft. Trent was given an NTA.
- Altamont Police arrested 19 year old Joshua T. Burger of Edgewood for burglary to a church. Joshua was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 22 year old Kody D. Lankford of Dieterich for an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Kody was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 23 year old Brandi L. Dehart of Shumway for possession of meth <5g, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brandi was given an NTA.

- Effingham Police arrested 33 year old Mathew W. Koberlein of Effingham for leaving the scene of an accident with injury, possession of stolen vehicle, driving while license revoked, failure to report an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident, and improper lane usage. Mathew was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 38 year old Timothy L. Pidigo of Charleston for DUI-alcohol. Timothy was taken to the Effingham County jail.

- At 2:21 P.M. north of the intersection of Brentwood and Willow a vehicle driven by Judy K. Deal, 72, Robinson, rear-ended a sanitation truck operated by Jacob A. Pruemer, 26, Teutopolis. No injuries and no citations.
May 5, 2021
- At 6:56 A.M. west of the intersection of Park and Kagay an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Andres Flores-Martinez, Effingham. No injuries and no citations at this time.
