Lake Sara, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Lake Sara 5K Run/Walk was held on Saturday, and hundreds of local residents took part in the fun.
Cromwell Media was there as the runners and walkers took off from the starting line. There were lead athletes to help get everyone pepped up for the run, and police officers there for an escort.
The runners prepared for the event while AC/DC, Survivor, and others were played in the background to begin the event. It was a beautiful day for a jog, even if it was a little chilly to start. Most everyone seemed happy to be able to get out after a very long year of being cooped up with local events being postponed or cancelled.
