Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Effingham County Health Department announced ten new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) from Sunday, February 21 through Tuesday, February 23. There were five cases on Sunday, two cases on Monday and three cases on Tuesday. Positive case demographics are as follows:

The Effingham County Health Department also announces that over 6,000 doses of COVID vaccine have been distributed in Effingham County with over 1,500 people fully vaccinated.
Illinois Region 6 rolling test positivity was 3.2% through February 20, while Effingham County was 2.9% for the same period.
