Clark County, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 12:
WHAT:
- Two Vehicle Personal Injury Traffic Crash
WHERE:
- Illinois Route 1 at Grand Turn Road, Clark County
WHEN:
- Oct. 26, 2020 at 6:22 a.m.
VEHICLES:
- Unit 1- 2003 Tan Chevrolet Truck
- Unit 2- 2007 Maroon Dodge Caliber
DRIVERS:
- Unit 1- Mark Ramsey, 55 year old male from Custer Park, IL – Uninjured
- Unit 2- Ashley Lucas, 18 year old female from Robinson, IL – Transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
PASSENGER:
- Unit 1- James Engelhardt, 32 year old male from Custer Park, IL – Uninjured
PRELIMINARY:
- A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling south on Illinois Route 1 just south of the Grand Turn Road in Clark County. Unit 2 was traveling north at the same location. For unknown reasons, the driver of Unit 1 crossed the center line and struck the passenger side of Unit 2. The driver of Unit 2 was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries. The driver and passenger of Unit 1 were uninjured.
CHARGES:
- Unit 1 driver was cited for Improper Lane Usage and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
