Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Legislation is being proposed that would remove Representative Michael Madigan from his role as House Speaker.
The resolution was filed yesterday, nearly two weeks after news broke about a federal investigation implicating Madigan in a bribery scheme involving ComEd.
Representative Avery Bourne, a co-sponsor of the resolution, says Madigan should have resigned the day the allegations became public.
