Washington, DC -(Effingham Radio)- The nation’s top infectious disease expert is pointing the finger at young people for the surge in COVID-19 cases.
Doctor Anthony Fauci [[ FOW-chee ]] says it’s the largest age group reporting new coronavirus infections. Fauci said they are more than a dozen years younger than the demographic that lead the nation in early April. He told Web-M-D’s chief medical officer they’re “not caring” if they get infected.
Fauci said it stems from the belief that being younger and having stronger immune systems, the symptoms aren’t going to be as severe, and he called that “a big mistake.”
