ISP Traffic Crash

Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 12:

WHAT:

• Personal Injury Traffic Crash

WHERE:

• Illinois Route 130, 3.0 Miles North of Olney (Richland County)

WHEN:

• Saturday, July 4, 2020, 12:20 p.m.

VEHICLE:

• Unit 1:  Black/White 2012 Yamaha R6L Motorcycle

DRIVER:                   

• Unit 1:  Kevin D. Noble 46-year-old male of French Lick, IN (Transported via helicopter to a hospital in Indiana with serious injuries)

PRELIMINARY:      

• Preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 130, 3.0 miles north of Olney.  Unit 1 maneuvered a pass around another northbound vehicle traveling ahead of Unit 1.  Unit 1 lost control veering to the right, side swiping a concrete bridge side wall.   The driver of Unit 1 continued north attempting to regain control.  Unit 1 left the roadway to the right entering into a ditch embankment.  The driver of Unit 1 was ejected and sustained serious injuries.

CHARGES:

• Pending Investigation
