Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Springfield Police confirm the suspect they believe shot up a Bunn-O-Matic facility this morning is dead.
During a press briefing, Chief of Police Kenny Winslow said he was notified by the Sheriff’s office that deputies found the suspect deceased in his car just before 2:00 p.m.
Multiple units responded to Bunn-O-Matic warehouse around 11:00 this morning to reports of an active shooter. Winslow says two males were shot and killed inside the corporate office. A third victim was found with a gunshot wound in the parking lot and she was rushed to the hospital where she remains in critical condition.
The suspect is being identified as Michael L. Collins. He was an active employee at Bunn-O-Matic and police believe he knew the victims. The investigation is ongoing.
