Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Amazon is launching a two-billion-dollar venture capital fund to invest in sustainable tech.
The Climate Pledge Fund will look for companies that help put humans on the path to zero carbon and protect the planet for future generations. CEO Jeff Bezos announced almost a year ago the company’s climate pledge. His goal is to make Amazon carbon neutral by the year 2040.
It announced it expects to run its business entirely on clean energy by 2025, five years earlier than expected.
