Mattoon, IL -(Effingham Radio)- From the Mattoon Police Department:
Mattoon Police arrested Carroll E. Donovan, 36 years of age of Sevierville, TN, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine.
The arrest occurred on 06/09/2020 at 4:47am in the 400 block of S. 15th Street. The charge alleges that on 6/9/20, police were called to the 400 block of S. 15th Street regarding a drug investigation. While on scene, they found Mr. Donovan to be in possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Donovan was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Daron L. Scott, 55 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Theft.
The arrest occurred on 6/9/20 at 2:33pm at Mattoon PD. The charge alleges that on 4/18/20, police investigated a report of a theft of lawn equipment from a residence in the 300 block of Richmond Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges investigations led officers to Mr. Scott’s residence, where officers located the stolen items. Mr. Scott was arrested, and admitted to having committed the theft on 4/18/20. The theft was elevated to a felony offense, due to past theft convictions. Mr. Scott was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Maria N. Garza, 36 years of age of Mattoon, for the offenses of Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, and Criminal Trespass to Property.
The arrest occurred on 6/9/20 at 3:02pm at Mattoon PD. The charge alleges that on 6/4/20 while in the 2500 block of Marshall Ave, Ms. Garza entered upon property of another, remained on the property after being asked to leave, and alarmed and disturbed the resident during that time. The charges also allege Ms. Garza damaged property at that residence while trespassing there. Ms. Garza was issued a court date and was released.
