Springfield, IL -(Vandalia Radio)- The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,156 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 today and an additional 59 deaths. The state now has an overall total of 125,915 cases and 5,795 COVID-19 related deaths.
18,903 tests have been processed in the state in the last 24 hours for a one-day positivity rate of 6.12%. Overall, the state has now processed over 1 million tests with an overall flat positivity rate of 12.59% and a 7-day rolling positivity rate of 6% for May 29-June 4.
Fayette County (21), Bond County (12 cases), Shelby County (16 cases) and Montgomery County (41 cases) all remain unchanged today with no new cases reported while Effingham County (now 8 cases) and Marion County (now 52 cases) have reported one additional case.
