
Springfield, IL -(Vandalia Radio)- The Illinois Department of Public Health’s daily press release reports that there have been 1,713 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state with an additional 31 deaths in the last 24 hours. That moves the state to 112,017 total positive cases and 4,884 COVID-19 related deaths.
There have been 21,643 test processed in the state in the last 24 hours making the state’s one-day positivity rate for today 7.91%. The state has processed 769,564 COVID-19 tests total making the state’s overall flat positivity rate 14.56% while the state’s 7-day rolling positivity rate is 12% again today and that number is for the period of May 16-22.
Fayette County remains at 20 cases with an overall positivity rate of 5.63%.
Effingham County (6 cases), Bond County (10 cases), Shelby County (16 cases) and Montgomery County (39 cases) and Marion County (50 cases) all remain the same with their case numbers today.
