Effingham, IL -(Vandalia Radio)- Exactly one month after schools were closed to in-person learning in Illinois, Governor J.B. Pritzker today made the decision that was long expected by many and closed schools for the remainder of this school year. During his daily briefing, Governor Pritzker says the COVID-19 health crisis simply will not allow students to return to their normal routine this school year.
And, Governor Pritzker says it is certainly a difficult decision, but the one he had to make.
The school closure and the Stay At Home order had been on the same path of April 30th. No decision has been made as of this time on the Stay At Home order.
