
Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Illinois Department of Public Health has reported 74 additional deaths from COVID-19 to bring the state’s total to 868 deaths. An additional 1,222 cases of COVID-19 have been reported as the state now has 23,247 total confirmed cases.
Clay County has reported its first positive case. 88 of Illinois’ 102 counties are now listed as reporting at least one case of COVID-19.
Fayette County (now 12 confirmed cases) and Marion County (now 13 confirmed cases) have both reported one additional confirmed case since Monday’s IDPH report. Bond County (4 Cases), Effingham County (3 cases), Shelby County (4 cases), Montgomery County (9 cases) and Clinton County (38 total cases) all reported no change in their numbers Tuesday afternoon.
