Washington, DC -(Effingham Radio)- Fifteen U.S. senators are calling on the U.S. Department of Agriculture to use funds in the recent COVID-19 coronavirus relief package to help the nation’s biofuel sector. The charge is led by Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst of Iowa as well as Tammy Duckworth of Illinois.
The bi-partisan group wants additional funds to be allocated to the biofuels industry through the Commodity Credit Corporation. The request has been prompted by the current economic circumstances brought on by the coronavirus outbreak.
