O’Fallon, IL -(Effingham Radio)- HSHS Medical Group is pleased to award Kristin Estes, CMA (AAMA), with our November Colleague of the Month Award. Kristin is a medical assistant at HSHS Medical Group Primary & Specialty Care in O’Fallon, Illinois.
The Colleague of the Month is chosen from nominations submitted by fellow HSHS Medical Group team members. Kristin’s nominator said, “She is always looking for ways to make things more organized, which makes everyone’s day better. She recently filled in for another provider and made improvements to his workflow.” Additionally, Kristin went to visit a patient in the hospital on her own time, because the patient was very nervous about being there. She also often calls to see how patients are doing.
“My patients, colleagues and provider bring me lots of joy, challenge and laughter,” Kristin said. “The respect I am shown is worth more than money and has made my career with HSHS Medical Group one of the biggest joys of my life. I strive to be a resource for others, encourage others, acknowledge others’ successes before my own and view challenges as opportunities.”
Kristin’s source of inspiration is her daughter, whose autism diagnosis changed her outlook on life and has helped her to be more compassionate and understanding, as well as see that things may not always be as they appear. When not working, Kristin can be found reading; binge watching Netflix; baking; doing puzzles; shopping at flea markets; or hanging out with her husband, three children and four dogs.
About HSHS Medical Group
