Brownstown, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The following traffic/crash alert information has been release by Illinois State Police District 12.
TRAFFIC ALERT
- (9:55 AM) – Due to a traffic crash on I-70 eastbound near milepost 69, traffic is temporarily down to one lane. The left lane is closed due to debris. The right lane remains open for traffic to pass at this time. Please use caution in the area and expect slowed or stopped traffic ahead.
UPDATE
- (10:02 AM) – Troopers now on scene. The right lane closed. The left, passing lane is open.
UPDATE
- (10:41 AM) – Traffic is backed up to I-70 eastbound milepost 67.5 at this time. Motorists should expect slowed or stopped traffic in the area.
UPDATE
- (2:49 PM)- Both eastbound lanes are now open on I-70 milepost 69, near Brownstown. Both lanes are open, however, cleanup crews remain on scene. Please continue to use caution in the area.
