
Mattoon, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following has been released by the Mattoon Police Department:
September 8, 2019
- Mattoon Police arrested Crystal C. Scott, 34 years of age of Chicago, IL, for the offense of Reckless Conduct. The arrest occurred on 09/08/2019 at 6:49pm on I 57 North of Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 09/08/2019 while at Rt 16 and Lerna Rd in Mattoon, and during a confrontation over driving habits, Ms. Scott discharged pepper spray into another vehicle at another female. Ms. Scott was located with the assistance of ISP, was arrested, issued a court date, and was released.
September 7, 2019
- Mattoon Police arrested Jonathan A. Robinson, 40 years of age of Windsor, IL, for the offenses of Driving while License Suspended, and Possession of Methamphetamine. Mr. Robinson also had an active Cumberland County Warrant. The arrest occurred 09/07/2019 at 11:35am in the 500 block of N. 26th Street in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 09/07/2019 while in the 500 block of N. 26th Street, police stopped a vehicle Mr. Robinson was operating, at which time he was arrested for the warrant and for driving with a suspended license. Mr. Robinson was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine at this time. Mr. Robinson was taken to the Coles County Jail.
September 9, 2019
- Mattoon Police and the East Central Illinois Drug Task Force arrested Ian C. Conley, 39 years of age of Charleston, IL, as well as Garrett J. Howlett, 29 years of age of Charleston, IL, both for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine. The arrest occurred on 09/09/2019 when both subjects were arrested at 2:38pm at Old State Road at the intersection of Odd Fellow Road. The charges allege that both Mr. Conley and Mr. Howlett were traveling in a vehicle that was stopped by police, and during this time, both Mr. Conley and Mr. Howlett were found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Both Mr. Conley and Mr. Howlett were taken to the Coles County Jail.
