BROWNSTOWN, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Brownstown Board of Education is set to meet on Monday.
During the meeting, the Board will hear the Elementary Principle Report, Jr/Sr High Principle Report, and Superintendent Report.
They will then adjourn into closed session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District.
The Board will the return to open session and discuss and take possible action on nine items of new business.
The new business is as follows:
- Motion to adopt the proposed tax levy
- First reading of the Board Policy Updates as recommended by the IASB
- Review of and motion to approve school bus lease agreement with Central States Bus
- Consideration and action to approve a 5 year contract with Apptegy Community Engagement Program
- Consideration and action on Mid-State Special Education Resolution
- Motion to approve a health services agreement
- Presentation of information regarding the County School Facilities 1 Cent Sales Tax
- Discussion of the USDA Department of Defense Fresh Fruit and Vegetable program
- Discussion of breakfast program for Pre-K students
The Brownstown Board of Education will meet in the High School Library.
