TEUTOPOLIS, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Teutopolis Board of Education is set to meet Monday.
The Board will hold a “Truth in Taxation” Hearing prior to the start of the regularly scheduled meeting.
During the “Truth in Taxation” Hearing, the tax levy will be discussed.
During the regularly scheduled meeting, the Board will hear a presentation from Taylor Hartke, the Illinois FFA Treasurer.
The Board will consider six items of business.
These items include:
- Consider a motion to adopt the tax levy as presented
- Consider a motion to approve an invoice from Upchurch Architects for preliminary design work and construction documents
- Consider a motion to approve to direct Upchurch Architects to release contract documents for a seven-room addition to THS with an alternate bid for two additional rooms and an alternate bid to renovate the front exterior of the THS main entrance
- Consider a resolution directing the Regional Superintendent of Schools to certify to the County Clerk the question of imposing a retailer’s occupation tax and a service occupation tax to be used for school facility purposes for submission to the electors at the April 2nd Consolidated Election.
- Consider a motion to direct the Superintendent to being the waiver process to allow District employees’ children to attend Unit #50 schools tuition fee
- Consider a motion to approve a resolution to allow tax-sheltered insurance premiums to count toward IMRF creditable earnings
The Board will also hear reports on building updates, unit office holiday hours, inclement weather closing, technology update-fiber build, Superintendent and Board of Education evaluations, TIF application, employee health insurance.
The Board of Education meeting will begin at 6:00pm.
