Washington, D.C. -(Effingham Radio)- Both of Illinois’ Democratic U.S. Senators say they are looking for a new path forward after the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation.
Senator Dick Durbin released a statement after the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh on Saturday that says tomorrow is a new day.
He added that the debate over Kavanaugh’s nomination has created a stronger force in the nation for justice for sexual assault survivors.
Senator Tammy Duckworth was stronger with her words, saying she’s ‘heartbroken’ and ‘deeply worried’ for millions of Americans now that Kavanaugh is on the court.
