CENTRALIA, IL-(Effingham Radio)- One person was injured in an accident that occurred one mile north of Centralia on Saturday.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred on Old Route 51 at 9:36pm.
The report states that a vehicle driven by 45 year old, Lesa Oettle, of Centralia was traveling southbound on Old Route 51 when the vehicle crossed over into the northbound lane and went into the ditch.
The vehicle then struck a culvert, traveled back onto the roadway and came to a rest.
A vehicle driven by 49 year old, Ricky Taylor, of Mcleansboro was traveling northbound in the same location and struck the rear of the Oettle vehicle.
A vehicle driven by 44 year old, Wesley Pigg, of Sandoval was passing at the time of the collision of the Taylor and Oettle vehicles and the Pigg vehicle was damaged by debris.
Taylor was taken to Centralia Hospital for treatment.
Oettle was cited for driving while under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and improper lane usage.
