Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The City of Effingham would like to congratulate Lt. Jason Caraway on being awarded Employee of the Quarter as a part of the City’s Employee Recognition Program. The Employee of the Quarter Award recognizes an employee who demonstrated either distinguished or extraordinary service during the fiscal quarter or other accomplishments that typically go unnoticed but are worthy of recognition.
Lt. Caraway was nominated because he has performed above and beyond expectations. Lt. Caraway has held several community meetings which has led to greater cooperation amongst the citizens and the police department. Lt. Caraway is also a lead Active Shooter Instructor and has held several classes with community groups leading to increased safety, awareness and education in our community. Lt. Caraway has developed into a leader amongst his team members, providing coaching and mentoring to experienced and inexperienced officers. This has led to increase awareness and motivation amongst the team. Lt. Caraway mentors new Community Policing Officers and is responsible for the development of the Community Policing Office which has turned into a top-quality customer service position benefiting the community as a whole.
