Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Members of 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County selected Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation as the recipient of the $13,700 collected at its second membership meeting of 2018 on July 12 at the Heartland Dental Corporate Office in Effingham.
The Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation provides assistance to those in our community who are facing adversity through donations supporting programs held by local organizations and funding scholarships at local schools. Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation has also provided sophomore student-athletes across the county with a sophisticated, potentially life-saving heart testing program that can detect more irregularities than a typical physical.
Members of 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County will make one more contribution in 2018. The next meeting is October 11 at Koerner Distributing Facility. New members may join at any time throughout the year. The amount of money contributed will increase as new members join. Members join the organization annually and sign a commitment to donate $400 per year. The first $100 commitment supports the 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County Endowment, managed by Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, to address future needs of the community. In addition, every member pledges to donate $100 at each of the meetings for that year (whether they attend or not) to be donated to a selected nonprofit organization in Effingham County.
