Mattoon police arrested 41 year old, William H. Carter, of Elkmont, AL., on Friday June 15th at 1:29 p.m. The arrest occurred in the 2700 block of Moultrie Ave. Carter was charged with Driving while License Suspended and being a Fugitive from Justice. The charges allege that Carter was driving on a suspended license and that he was wanted out of the State of Alabama for trafficking narcotics. Carter was taken to the jail.
Andrew J. Bathe, age 35 of Lerna, was arrested on June 17th at 12:32 a.m. in the 1100 block of Prairie Ave. He was charged with Criminal Trespass to Property and Violation of a Court Order. Those charges allege that Bathe was found on a property from which he had been previously banned, and that he also violated an order of a court bond condition by being there. Bathe was taken to jail.
Nicholas J. Blakemore, age 34 of Mattoon, was arrested on June 17th at 1:17 p.m. in the 2400 block of Dewitt Ave. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct. The charge alleges that he yelled and screamed to the point of causing a neighborhood disturbance, and that he threatened to strike a woman with a crutch. Blakemore was issued a notice to appear in court.
All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
