CARLYLE, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Early Monday morning authorities including ATF, Secretary of State Bomb Squad, FBI and Clinton County Sheriff’s Department searched the property of Kyle Matthews, 25, Keyesport after filing a search warrant, yet what they found was unsettling, and nerve racking to say the least.
Before filing the warrant, Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies obtained the name of Matthews as well as his whereabouts.
In a particular turn of events WJBD continued reporting that CCSD has received multiple reports of loud explosions in the same area as where they were told Matthews was staying.
At the time of the search, Sheriff’s Deputies found what was considered a ‘pipe bomb’ made from PVC pipe as well as other materials.
Immediately after Matthews was arrested; two others were at the same location however they were both immediately released by authorities.
At the time of the arrest, seized firearms, ammunition, and materials for constructing the pipe bombs.
The FBI Springfield Office as well as CCSD were both contacted earlier today for further comment, however neither were available to immediately respond.

UPDATE (2:00) In a recent update, Matthews has now been formally charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon.
Matthews has also received a bond set for $100,000.
According to Judici.com, His first appearance with counsel has been scheduled for April 18, at 9 a.m..
