The Effingham County Economic Development Advisory Board met on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of merging with the Grants Committee. The idea was broached because the two committees perform similar functions and there is some crossover in members between the two. No formal action on the possible merger has been discussed as of yet.
The board also discussed the state of several borrowers participating in the county’s revolving loan program. The program is funded by a USDA grant and is available for local businesses for entrepreneurs looking for funding.
A renegotiation of monthly payments was discussed for Holli’s Flower Shop, the board expects to have the necessary paperwork by next month.
