MOUND TOWNSHIP, IL -(Effingham Radio)- On May 5th first responders were called to Route 40 at approximately 2:45 p.m. following a two car collision.
According to police Judy Kingston, 65, of St. Elmo was driving west on 40, while Tristan Putt, 18, of Pana was stopped at a stop sign on the south side of the roadway.
In further detail Putt had driven onto 40 as Kingston was driving past, and she could not swerve out of the way and was struck by Putt.
Following the accident, Kingston was taken to HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital for her injuries, and putt was cited for failure to yield/stop at an intersection & operating an uninsured vehicle.
