Effingham, Ill. (Illinois) – The flu is getting stronger in Illinois.
The state’s latest report to the CDC for the first week of February shows an uptick in the number of positive flu tests.
Illinois doesn’t track the total number of flu cases in the state, just ICU admissions and child deaths.
The latest report shows eleven ICU admissions in the first week of the month, and four children who’ve died from the flu this flu season.
