Subjects in South Banker Street Rollover Airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital

The two drivers involved in the rollover accident that occurred on South Banker Street late Friday morning have been airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital.

According to preliminary information being released by the Illinois State Police, 60 year old, Leslie Reed, of Beecher City  was turning into the Northbound lane of Banker Street from Walk Avenue, into the path of 25 year old, Pauline Grames, of Effingham. Grames was unable to stop and rear-ended Reed, causing Reed’s vehicle to roll over multiple times. Reed’s vehicle came to a rest on its top in the ditch. Reed and Grames were transported to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital and were then airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital.
