The Cardinals ended their 5 game losing streak by beating the Cubs 3-2.
The Cardinals scored first with a Moss home run in the top of the second, Díaz added an RBI single to make it 2-0 after two innings. The Cardinals then scored in the top of the third with a Peralta solo home run making it 3-0. The Cubs came back with a RBI double by Bryant and a Contreras RBI single to make it 3-2.
Jaime Garcia got the win moving to 5-6 on the season. Garcia gave up 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 6 and walking 2 over 6 and 2/3 innings. Lackey took the loss falling to 7-3 on the season. Lackey gave up 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 6 and walking 3 over 6 innings.
