The Effingham City Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred over the weekend at a trailer in the Four Seasons Trailer Court. The incident took place on Sunday, May 8 between 2:00am and 9:00pm. Police say that an undetermined amount of cash was stolen.
Police are also investigating two other recent incidents involving the theft of cash. On Saturday, May 7 at approximately 9:00pm an undetermined amount of cash was stolen from a purse at the Rue 21 store on 1602 Ford Avenue.
Another theft, also involving cash, is under investigation as well. Police say the burglary occurred from a motor vehicle parked near the Village Square Mall at 1910 South Banker Street on Friday, May 5 between 4:30pm and 5:15pm. Along with an undetermined amount of cash, various miscellaneous items were stolen from the vehicle.
