The Effingham Flaming Hearts baseball team picked up a win Wednesday, beating Troy Triad 10-4. Brent Beals and Zac Bateman knocked in three runs a piece for the Hearts. Effingham had 17 hits in the game. Hudson Graham was the winning pitcher, throwing two innings and giving up one run. Effingham jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Troy was able to tie things up in the fourth inning. The Hearts finished strong, scoring seven runs in the final two innings on their way to the win.
