With all the hype about Pokémon GO around, it’s no surprise that the Pokémon Company is releasing a new series of shorts (3-5 minutes) to appeal to the older crowd of Pokémon fans. The web series, set to launch this Friday on the Pokémon YouTube channel, will feature big moments from the games ranging from first gen all the way to current. It’s called Pokémon Generations and it has me excited.
You can already watch the teaser. It’s a tad darker than previous series, of course take my word with a grain of salt as my interest for the Pokémon anime sizzled out after gen one. I mean, just watch the trailer. They use a Machamp to break down a wall for some kind of sting operation.
The first two episodes are set to release Friday around 7 AM in our time zone. Here’s the synopsis from their YouTube Page
“The new animated series Pokémon Generations revisits each generation of the Pokémon video game series to shed new light on some timeless moments. From the earliest days in the Kanto region to the splendor of the Kalos region, go behind the scenes and witness Pokémon history with new eyes! These bite-sized adventures, about 3 to 5 minutes long, will be released every week through December 23, 2016.”
Looks pretty awesome! Annnnnd go Team Mystic!
