Marlene H. Baker, age 88, of Eureka, Illinois, passed away peacefully Monday, November, 2, 2026, at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing in Eureka, Illinois. She was born September 14, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Waldschmidt) Parr Sr. Marlene married Vernon Allen Baker on June 14, 1971 in Bloomington, Illinois. Marlene spent her career as an educator.
Marlene is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; and her siblings, Henry, Dennis, Fern, Audrey, William, Muriel, and Danny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026, 10 AM at St Michael Catholic Church in Sigel, Illinois. Burial will follow in St Michael Cemetery in Sigel, Illinois.
