Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A twenty-year-old Teutopolis woman sustained incapacitating injuries after her vehicle left the roadway on South Pearl Street near State Street.
The driver, 20 year old Danica J. Sleeper of Teutopolis, told authorities she fell asleep at the wheel, striking a speed limit sign and concrete culvert. She was extricated from the vehicle and was airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana with incapacitating injuries.
