Tornado Warning Issued For Effingham, Clay, & Jasper Counties

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Western Jasper County in southeastern Illinois...
  Northern Clay County in south central Illinois...
  Southeastern Effingham County in south central Illinois...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 722 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Louisville, or 9 miles northwest of Flora, moving
  northeast at 60 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Bible Grove around 730 PM CDT.
  Wheeler around 740 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Newton.
