Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- It will be warm and windy today, and it brings severe weather with it tonight.
Unseasonably warm temps will be in place today helping fuel thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening that are expected to be severe. The threat for severe storms and heavy rain continues into tonight as a cold front pushes through.
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will develop by this afternoon into early evening near a warm front draped between the I-74 and I-80 corridor. Storms will become more widespread across central Illinois late this evening and overnight.
